Class Lists

As we begin the important work of building class lists for the upcoming school year, we want to share that this is a thoughtful and collaborative process involving many factors. Our goal is always to create balanced and supportive classroom communities that allow all students to thrive.

Please note that we do not accept specific teacher requests. Classroom placements are carefully determined by staff and administration, taking into account a range of considerations including gender balance, academic strengths and needs, behavioural dynamics, students with exceptionalities, and peer relationships. This intricate process ensures that each class is set up for success. If you have specific concerns or insights you believe are important for us to consider during this process, we invite you to share them directly to Ms. Dubeau by May 22.

In addition, we value student voice in this process. Students will be invited to share the names of two or three classmates that they feel they work well with. While we cannot make guarantees, we strive to ensure each student is placed with at least one peer from their list.
